This is my start review. I accept been waiting for this for years. I wanted to review the first chapter book I accept ever read. Mom read this to me when I was in preschool. I loved it. I have been waiting for this for years. I wanted to review the start chapter book I have ever read. Mom read this to me when I was in preschool. I loved information technology. I still have memories of jumping on my trampoline while she read it to me. I remember the starting time time she told me about it. I was taking out my dishes later on dinner. She told me that she was going to read me a affiliate volume called Junie B Jones. I imagined this big, thick grown-upward book. I laugh when I think about information technology now. I finished this in one twenty-four hours. I would come home from preschool and eat lunch in front of the Tv. Then, a lilliputian later that, Mom would phone call me into the piano room to read. We are a huge reading family unit. I accept so many memories from those times. Now, as I am older, I call up it'southward fun to read this book and think about how I accept changed since I first read information technology. When I first read this, I idea Junie B was then grown-up. NOW, I realize that she's just a little kindergartner who doesn't always know what she'south talking about. For case, once, she said something virtually how the definition of unruly was, "the grown-upward word for not being Ruly." I think my favorite role is when Junie B realizes that beingness the just one can sometimes be fun. I agree with that. I'm the only 1 who doesn't watch America'south Got Talent, but I don't heed. It's too confusing for me. I also like how Barbara Park makes her sound like a kindergartner when she'south narrating. For instance, not using correct grammar. The downside to this is that if you are reading the book to a preschooler or kindergartner, they might think that she's correct. Once, I thought that the principal actually did live at the school. When I told this to Mom, she said she didn't think so. I didn't think that was worth taking a star off for, though. NOW, I am going to ask Mom a few questions. Well, mayhap just i. She has non read this volume in a long time, so it might just be more about the series itself. What's something that you lot like virtually the Junie B Jones books?
Mom: I think they're funny. Information technology's been a long fourth dimension since I've actually read Junie B Jones.
OK, back to me on the living room couch. I realize that I forgot to give a summary of the book. I think that I like to put summaries in reviews. This book was about a girl named Junie B Jones. They celebrated a birthday in her class, and afterwards that, she started talking nearly her own birthday. She made a male child named Jim mad, and he didn't desire to invite her to his birthday. He did because his mother made him at the end.
Hey, past the fashion, if you don't want any spoilers, you should stop READING correct hither. I am about to give ane. Junie B realized that she did not want to become to the party after all, and she was very very excited to be helping her grandpa fix his upstairs toilet. That part made me express joy. That is the contrary of me. I exercise not think that sounds like that much fun. I recommend this book to people. I don't just mean for people kindergarten to third class. I mean everybody. Information technology's fun to look back on your babyhood.

Junie B. just wants to get to the party considering everyone else got invited and it hurts to be left out. It doesn't even matter that she doesn't like the boy at all, she merely wants to be included. The feeling of being left out is so much stronger than her feelings for Jim. I think we all know how that feels.
In one case again, the book addresses the issue with sense of humor. The serial isn't one of those kinds of stories that teaches a lesson through the obvious inclusion of morals. Instead information technology teaches through working through emotions that every kid understands, fifty-fifty if they don't express them in the aforementioned strong, loud, and even quite rude way that Junie B. expresses them. I can even call up a time when I kind of wished I could have done some of what Junie B. does. I was the i left out, or I was dragged to a birthday political party for someone I didn't similar and I wished I could have kept the present instead of having to requite it to that kid I actually didn't like. Sure, information technology was years agone when I was a child, but I get it. I think a lot of kids do. That's part of the reason why then many kids identify with Junie B.

Junie B. Jones is a very highly recommended serial for master readers, whom I found to exist defined as kindergarten through third grade readers. The wording was perfect for that of a kindergartener. If this is what America'southward youth is reading, no wonder so many are illiterate. It is very possible to write a simple, age appropriate book using small words in proper English. Junie B. is honestly a terrible person and probable not the best role model for children. Proper noun-calling and self-entitlement are never resolved and that Jim was forced to give an invitation to an unpleasant girl who does not even try to be overnice to him is non a good lesson. The grammer is intentionally terrible, which can be grating and insulting.
However, it is hilarious to read from the point of view of this flawed heroine. Her obliviousness to the repeated head-desking actually sells the comedy.

I guess I'm always a stick in the mud with my Junie B reviews. My trouble is just that they have the potential to be so much better than they are. Barbara Park is obviously skilled at relating to kids just there is and so much garbage mixed in at that place that I accept to basically filter out and edit as I read aloud to my 6 year old. One example from this book that irked me: Meanie Jim doesn't invite Junie B to his party. Yes, Jim is a total jerk merely so is Junie B. I wouldn't desire her at my party either to exist honest. She's just as mean to him as he is to her but the books only kind of ignore that point. Anyway, at one point she attacks him basically in the classroom and is sent to the Principal's office. The principal finds out the root of the problem was that Jim didn't invite Junie to his party and then he makes Jim give her an invite. And that'southward it. Okay. How almost we address the fact that Junie B literally attacked him in the classroom because she was upset about the party invite?!? Junie wasn't the victim in this case. Yes, Jim should accept invited the unabridged class only that's not an excuse to physically assault someone. Merely that type of behavior doesn't get addressed...just like her hiding in the classroom and stealing cake doesn't become addressed or the frequent name calling. The teacher simply rolls her optics and moves on and we're supposed to have that Junie B is just a little spunky average 5 yr old and not a total wiggle who needs to larn actual consequences for her deportment.

It could also serve as an example for students on creating dialogue and the conventions that accompany it as a writing lesson.
